That's the truth. Putin and his puppets advance that perception at every opportunity.
If you studied how WWII unfolded Hitler was quick to conclude the U.S. would not enter the arena, even though we were re-supplying Great Britain. He drew a line in the sand with his UBoats sinking every U.S. merchant and military ship possible. Before over running Poland, Hitler and Stalin had agreed Russia would not enter the war if Hitler would not advance to take all of Czechoslovakia. Hitler had advanced deeply into Russia at the time the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Russia lost 20 million civilians and 8 million military during Hitler's onslaught. That may have never happened had Stalin sought an agreement with the U.S. and Great Britian instead of selling out his neighbors.
There's a lesson to be learned in dealing with Russian leaders. They are not to be trusted.
