The liberal leaning 9th Circuit Court has ruled that coaches can't hold prayer or make any religious jesters after sporting events. Cate says they aren't liberal.

Well DH, what would you think if some of the Jewish kids threw off their hats or helmets and donned their Kippah's to pray, or Muslim kids unrolled their prayer mats east, knelt and prayed?

Permitting a minute of silence for prayer and reflection works fine. There's no reason to stir up controversy over religious beliefs. We are free to practice our religion at home, in our churches, synogues and mosques, where we find communion with those of our faith. Why must faith be made an issue in a secular society of diversity that does not restrict one's freedom to practice the religion of their choosing without forcing others of different faiths or no faith at all to participate in any one particular religious ritual like public prayer?

Tell that to those who practice Islam.

I'm fairly certain that's exactly what the 9th Circuit Court just did.

That was a ruling against the Christian faith.
