Beshear signs executive order regarding felons voting right

Postby GFunkMoneyDog » Tue Nov 24, 2015 10:47 am

After having their ass handed to them in the general election Governor Beshear has signed an executive order to restore the voting rights for some felons. I suppose this is the Democrat's answer to turn Kentucky back to a Democrat state. Question? Can a new governor (cancel) a previous governor's executive order?
Beshear who never met an Obama idea that he didn't like fell into his foot steps by using executive order to make a law that failed to pass multiple times.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is issuing an executive order to restore voting rights for some felons.

There will be three criteria for felons for this restoration.

The first will be that they have fulfilled the terms of their sentence.

The second requirement will be that they must not have a pending criminal case, charge, or arrest.

The final criterion is that they may not be convicted of violent crimes, sex crimes, bribery or treason.

Might as well go ahead and restore their right to purchase a firearm. They can be just as deadly in the voting booth.

I had posted this previously but will again. The Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science study shows that of felons in states where they have the right to vote register Democrat 6 to 1. It also shows that 73 percent of convicts who turn out for presidential elections would vote Democrat. Someone will post on how it was the right thing to do and bla bla bla. We know exactly why Beshear did it.

He's already helping his son get re-elected. Every felon in the state will be voting for Baby Beshear.

Felons have demonstrated dishonesty and irresponsibility in their character by committing the crime. They have committed crimes that violated the rights of others, so hell no they shouldn't have their rights restored. I'm sure G's correct in the reason the Governor did this.

I bet the gov has never had to fight off a zombie or suffered a single theft much less multiple ones. All so his baby will get elected to something. Which is the safest state to live in these days?

New England states are the safest. Kentucky is ranked in the top unsafe states to live. I think 7th. This act right here will move it on up the list.

Found guilty, did their time, and now they should have their rights restored.

Those felons convicted of bribery, treason, violent or sex crimes will not have their voting rights restored with this action. Nor will any felon facing arrest or criminal charges.
