Wow! You just figured out how the Trump Administration can shine bright like a diamond. Hire Amanpour and eliminate the CIA!

PBS is doing something the Trump Administration can’t do; get award winning, highly respected journalist in their camp.

Christiane Amanpour’s Current Affairs program will air on the the PBS network on an interim basis. Her program will temporarily replace Charlie Rose’s Interview program, as Rose is facing charges of sexual harrassment. Let’s hope other media outlets will continue to follow suit ousting sexual predators, and replacing them with real journalists.

Wasn't she the reporter who knew Bin Ladens location?

She is the reporter that apparently read Richard Clark’s book and knew (as did President Clinton knew as early as 1998) where Bin Laden had set up his base operation.

You can watch the Fox Interview where President Clinton tells exactly who prevented him from getting Bin Laden during his Presidency. Clinton had appointed and was served by a Republican Secretary of Defense during this time.

He wasn't served by Republicans. They could have easily been replaced.

William Sebastian Cohen was the Republican Secretary of Defense, serving President Clinton’s Administration from 1997 through 2001. Cohen went on to serve the W. Bush Administration until 2004, during which time he was greatly influential in supporting the W. Bush lie of Iraq’s WMD’s and subsequent invasion of Iraq.

During President Clinton’s last term (while the Republican Party was hell bent on impeaching him over a sex scandal) President Clinton had Intelligence that Bin Laden was headquartered in Afghanistan, hiding out with the Taliban.

President Clinton tried unsuccessfully to get the CIA headed by George Tenet to certify Bin Laden’s Afghanistan location. He couldn’t. Cohen wouldn’t concede to sending 20,000 troops into Afghanistan to depose the Taliban. Although Russia had weakened the stronghold with a 16 year invasion.

So President Clinton did appoint Republicans to serve in his Administration. More than one. That’s one reason he was successful in getting Congress to set aside partisanship on some issues. It’s also the reason the Senate could not get the 2/3 majority to impeach him.

The people’s majority vote elected Clinton. In fact the people’s majority vote elected both Clintons. It was the Electoral College that elected both W. Bush & D.J, Trump.

The Washington Post has produced a video sequencing how Trump has responded to Russia’s interference of our 2016 election. It’s worth watching as it unfolds a sequential timetable of events before and after the election.

The single most important political question I was forced to asked myself and answer years ago, was if my political view comported with what a democracy should be, as I understood it. I satisfied that question, believing that a democracy is very much like a clock pendulum, swinging left to right politically balancing the weights of its body politic. It’s when the pendulum swings too far left or too far right that the weight of the body politic becomes imbalanced.

We’ve all heard that our U.S. Constitution provides a system of checks and balances that has enabled our Democracy to flourish, even though it’s a messy process. When that process is impeded by adversarial governments, our Democracy is seriously threatened.

The past is the past. We learn from it. What matters now is our future.

Putin called Trump to thank him for the CIA tip that prevented a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg.

Why would Putin believe our Intelligence when our own POTUS doesn’t??!!

You can’t make this stuff up.
