DH, unless an Independent Study could prove the data in the NCA4 Report (4th National Climate Assessment) wrong or ‘doctored’, the findings of the report can’t be effectively challenged.
The only thing an Independent Study might do to challenge the findings, is offer a different provable and scientific result, based on the data. Maybe an Independent Study might introduce proven data on what effect the Universe’s gravitational pushes and pulls on our planet, that would influence the results confirmed by the data collected. The result that confirms the globe is warming wouldn’t change, only the opinion of what causes it.
The vast majority (98%) of the scientist that study climate, have said human activity significantly contributes to a rapid increase of temperatures, on our planets land and water surfaces.
For decades the science of Plate Tectonics was debated (accepted-rejected-accepted-rejected) until scientists could confirm ocean floor spreading. At that point the science of Plate Tectonics was settled.
Until data and findings can prove human activity has no impact on our globes warming temperatures, we can accept the majority scienfic findings that it does.
